Dualism of Prima Interval

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to consider the specifics of the implementation of the prima interval, analysis of its acoustic properties and expressive capabilities. The methodology is determined by a comparative, functional and analytical method. The scientific novelty of work consists of expanding the generally accepted idea of performing the interval of the prima by certain acoustic norms proposed by P. Baranovsky. The similarities and differences between the varieties of this interval are shown in melodic and harmonic. The influence of such factors as the phenomenon of "duality of intervals," the intransigence of the work, the direction of the melodic movement, textual presentation, the metrological structure of the tact on the choice of the "technical" solution to the implementation of the prima interval. The conclusions are presented in the expansion of the generally accepted norms of the prima interval, the understanding of which allows adding the greatest brightness and expressiveness to the performance on the string-bow instrument.
