The greek books in Emanuil Vaskidovich’s library

Summary/Abstract: Studying and deciphering the Greek books in Emmanuel’s Vaskidovich’s library motivate us to rebuild its content. Sorting the titles based on their subject matter and analysing them as prime examples of the European Enlightement thought allows us to appreciate this fascinating library which contains the most important works of the European Enlightement and Ancient Greece. The teaching aids for the study of geography, history, philosophy, grammar and vocabulary that belonged to this important teacher of the Revival demonstrate the high level of education that he was able to give the future generations of Bulgarians, some of whom were the leading figures of the post-liberation period in Bulgaria.
