Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article: to analyze the methodical principles of the vocal school of the Russian singer of Ukrainian origin Gertrude Troyanova through the R. Steiner's views. Methodology. The basis of the article's methodology is the integrated approach. The research is based on historical, biographical, theoretical, comparative methods. Of particular importance is the analysis of literature from various branches of vocal pedagogy, history of vocal styles and singing schools. Also used are elements of intonational, comparative, functional, stylistic methods of analysis of musical material. Scientific novelty of the work is that for the first time in Ukrainian musicology the methodical achievements of G. Troyanova through the prism of anthroposophical views and ideas of R. Steiner's sound evolution were considered. Conclusions. Cognition of the theoretical foundations of Waldorf pedagogy directs the performer's practice and methodology of the singer to the implementation of the concept of free sound R. Steiner. G. Troyanova reveals the principles of systematic use of phonetic features of singing on "long" vowel sounds. The author's technique of the singer is based on the practical embodiment of the notions of "sound-making" and "the beginning of sound", borrowed from the articles of R. Steiner, which are devoted to "sound matrimony". The key to R. Steiner's free-sound theory is the moment of the start of the sound. A particular technique for revealing the sound quality in the larynx leads to the creation and systematisation of their exercises (notes) based on fragments of the text of the arias, romances, and dramatically improves the quality of their vocal performances.
