Features of Ukrainian Church Sewing: Use of Fabrics and Materials

Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The purpose of the work is to identify the specifics of Ukrainian church harping in the context of the use of special fabrics and materials in the manufacture and decoration of objects of church appointment with gold embroidered. Methodology. The methodology of the research involves the use of general scientific methods: historical, analytical, comparative, systemic, typological. The above-mentioned methodological approaches allow to reveal the essence of Ukrainian church harping profoundly. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of the work is to reveal the values of the woven fabrics in the liturgical rites, depending on the functional and symbolic role, which allows to expand the idea of Ukrainian church harping with the use of special fabrics and materials. Conclusions. Church harping has a scientific and cultural heritage. The use of fabrics in temples depends on theological reflection and the development of the liturgy. The use of fabrics and materials in the manufacture of church objects were detailed and thoroughly disclosed
