Summary/Abstract: The article covers scientific work, which is an integral part of pedagogical work in a higher educational institution. The goal of the study of the topic is the importance of the scientific element in the work of the teacher of higher education and the actualization of the epistemological potential of his activity. The scientific search for teachers of philosophy defines axiological priorities and leads to the formation of their own fundamental ideological views. In addition, scientific activity can represent the work in leading profes-sional native editions. Monographs and collective scientific developments contribute to the formation of common ideas concerning the priorities of the development of philosophy in the medical school. At the department of social sciences and Ukrainian studies the beginning of the 21st century became a period of intensification of scientific researches.
