Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of teaching indirect speech acts in a foreign-language audience. Main means of realization of indiect directives (request, order, advice, permission, prohibition and threat), commissives (agreement and refusal), representatives (approval, disapproval and negation), expressives (compliment, apology and irony) and declarations (informing) are examined, which are studied by foreigners at the Ukrainian language proficiency level of В2. That is what determines the relevance of the article. Research methods. The descriptive method and the methd of comparison are applied for the analysis, synthesis and summry of scientific theories.
