Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article: to study the existing disagreements in the accentuation of the Latin adjectives with the final endings -eus, -ea, -eum on the material of the Latin anatomical terminology. Methods of investigation: descriptive, comparative and the method of generalization of investigated facts. Scientific novelty. The authors assert the problem of the correct accentuation of Latin medical terms as a topical one considering numerous errors made by both students and some teachers, as well as the necessity to arise the linguistic culture of professionals. Latin adjectives of the first group with the endings -eus, -ea, -eum indicating the substance something, is made of or the belong-ing, connection with something and formed by the scheme: noun stem + endings -eus, -ea, -eum, in the authors’ opinion, considering the rule vocalis ante vocalem brevis est, should be accented on the third syllable from the end.
