Modern Concepts of Business Models of Logistic Operators

Summary/Abstract: The paper defines the concept of a modern business model. The key changes in the logistics services market and their consequences for logistics operators and their role as an integrator in the supply chain were pointed out. The methods used are comparative ana-lyzes of business models of logistic operators, literature analysis and case study. The mana-gerial implications of the study are that in their planning and strategizing, managers should factor in a proper analysis of the business model they currently use and one that they co-uld use. The study provides a useful addition to the literature on the practical implications of business models.
