Summary/Abstract: This is a general resource study dealing with the region of al Jazeera and its three main parts; Diyar-ı Bekr, Diyar-Mudar, Diyar-ı Rabi’a and their history, geography and cultural structure. This study includes the process from the Islamic conquests to the first period of Abbasids. In this study, after emphasizing the historical importance of el-Cezire and its three regions, some information about the borders of these regions are given and then resources in this field are determined. Also, within the bounds of possibility we try to give information generally about the main resources of the Islamic history such as Taberi, İbn Esir, İbn Kesir, in addition to these resources, together with the recent academic researches , some specific studies related to geography of the region are discussed.
