Summary/Abstract: In recent years, there has been dynamic development of culinary tourism which activates many rural and urban areas for self-promotion purposes. The aim of this article is to present the essence of culinary tourism and the Festival of Tastes in Uniejów as a manifestation of this trend as well as a development factor increasing the popularity of the city among tourists and an effective municipal tool of marketing strategy. The methodology adopted to achieve the objectives of the article includes: review and analysis of the literature on the subject of culinary tourism and Uniejów, own empirical research based on the analysis of Taster’s Passports collected during the last edition of the festival, and observations related to the organization of the event. Based on there search it was found that the Festival of Tastes in Uniejów can be an example of effective and attractive use of the gastronomic potential of the city and the rural areas of the commune for promotional purposes.
