Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify differences in the development of Turek and Konin parks. According to data from the local government records for the year 2016, there are 11 pedestrian and leisure parks in the cities studied, five in Turek and six in Konin. In order to achieve the assumed objective two main methods were applied: urban inventory (for the analysis of the development) and SWOT analysis (to compare parks in both cities, on the basis of surveys). Asa result of the re-search it was found that the best developed park in Turek is May the 3rd Constitution Park, and the least developed is F. Kowalska Park. In Konin, the best developed park is Frederic Chopin Park, while the worst one is the park at Ślesińska Street. On the other hand, as regards the diversity of the equipment in the parks studied, the city of Konin is definitely better.
