KIRIKHAN İLÇESİ’NİN TURİZM POTANSİYELİ
TOURISM POTENTIAL OF KIRIKHAN DISTRICT

Summary/Abstract: Although the tourism potential is high in Kırıkhan district- which is rich in natural and human resources- it is apparent that this potential has not developed or it is not in the desired state. Amanos Moutains, Alan and Eşmişek highlands, caves, numerous mounds, castles, mosques and tombs, historical bridges, and houses constitute the tourism potential of the natural and human environment. Although it has tourism attractions, Kırıkhan has almost no tourism from domestic and foreign countries. In addition, for reasons such as lack of capital, lack of value for touristic elements, lack of accommodation facilities, and lack of promotion of natural and human elements are some of the main factors preventing the development of tourism in Kırıkhan district and from reaching the desired level. In this study, the tourism potential in Kırıkhan district is emphasiced and the current status and deficiences in terms of tourism and touristic values are aimed to be revealed. In the first part of the study, information was given about the location of the site, its natural human and economic characteristics, and then the touristic elements in Kırıkhan district.
