Summary/Abstract: Most of the books by Jáchym Topol (Prague, 1962) have earned themselves a prominent place among the strikingly complex, but, as for their overall impression, devastating narrative modes. The cycling stream of degenerating mysteries, non-stop expectation of unrealism, clues to unpredictability and the determination to searching are typical for perhaps all of his novels.
