Summary/Abstract: Civilization is a concept formed by socio-cultural values. Sociocultural values include values that determine the lifestyle of society, such as language, religion, beliefs, customs and customs. One of the most important sources of Turkish civilization is the sociocultural values in Anatolian villages. The literary, historical and sociological works on social and cultural life in the Anatolian countryside are limited. The works of this period should be analyzed in a sociocultural context. The first village novels and stories of Turkish literature reflect the socio-cultural life of the rural people living in the countryside. In this study, Karabibik, which is one of the first village stories, is analyzed in sociocultural context. The most important feature of the story is that it is realist. The author, Nabizâde Nâzım, was in the region in 1889 to remove the topography of Antalya. The story weave of the story is to pass through the villages and towns of Antalya. In the story, heroes are spoken according to their mouth characteristics. The story also gives information to the reader about important historical places and objects. n this respect, the story is capable of contributing to the real resources. Karabibik also describes the misery, ignorance and cultural degeneration in which the late Ottoman peasant was involved. The main purpose of this research is to reveal the sociocultural characteristics of the first village novels and stories. Document analysis method was used in the study. The research is limited to Karabibik, which is among the first village stories of Turkish literature. As a result of the study, As a result of the research, it was found that Karabibik reflects the sociocultural life of the pre-Republican Anatolian people.
