Summary/Abstract: The First World War has brought face to face Romanian people fighting againstone another, this being one of the most reprovable paradoxes offered by the great conflagration. The dual monarchy will face many problems because of this situation,but the dynastic loyalty will render these problems less grave, up to a certain extent.Many soldiers and officers deserted and formed troops of military volunteers in theOld Kingdom, which will enroll in the Romanian Army and will contribute decisevelyto the liberation of Transylvania.
