Summary/Abstract: The elections for the first Great Romanian Parliament, held in early November 1919, organized based on the universal (male) vote, had facilitated the penetration of politicians from Bessarabia, Bukovina, Transylvania and Banat, territories that have joined in the year 1918, in the political life of Bucharest. In the case of the Lower Alba County (the continuation of the old county with the same name), a part of the personalities involved in the act of the 1st of December, 1918 (Iuliu Maniu, Alexandru Vaida-Voevod, Ionel Pop, Alexandru Nicolescu, Ioan Teculescu), wishing to identify their political future with this moment, have launched their candidatures with this goal. The present research aims to briefly analyse the main stages and results of the electoral campaign in the Lower Alba County, in the autumn of 1919, the candidates and political forces enrolled in the competition, as well as the biographical record of those who have come to occupy a place in the first Parliament of Great Romania.
