Summary/Abstract: Establishment of the National Romanian Committee from Blaj imposed the necessity of drawing up an immediate propaganda plan, that focused on real time information of the Romanian population through the easiest way, media. The final decision regarded taking over of Unirea newspaper, ecclesiastic-political sheet and its adaptation following own needs, a fact acknowledged and assumed by the Church. As a historical source, newspaper Unirea, in its propaganda form, offers important information on the actions that preceded the Union, completing, next to the other documents, the whole picture of this act.
