Summary/Abstract: Recent rescue excavations carried in Alba Iulia shed light on various sculptural elements associated with the Roman period. This paper tackles two such discoveries represented by two altars, one bearing an inscription devoted to Silvanus and an anepigraphic one respectively. Even though the archaeological context corresponds to the post Roman period, the altars indicate their manufacturing during Roman period, as the main hypothesis implies their secondary usage in the post Roman settlement.
