Summary/Abstract: Studies in religion and gender are present in a number of disciplines and have provoked an abundance of topics, issues and debates from different theoretical standpoints. Recent perspectives in women's and gender studies have significantly influenced contemporary research on religion. This text aims to introduce the academic public in this country with the conditions and perspectives of research on the relation between gender and religion.
