Summary/Abstract: “Intonation” which is a musician’s ability to sway and toning the sound, one of the important points should be successfully passed beyond. “Intonation” which can be thought as creating the sound on the correct frequencies is the leading skill of correct and effective playing. In this view of perspective, this research aims to; define the position of the “Intonation” at curriculums of Divisions of Music Education and Music Departments of Fine Art Faculties in Universities in Turkey and identify Flute instructors experienced problems on the Intonation of the Flute Education, enlighten these problems and offer solutions. 15 instructors teaching Flute at different institutions of Turkey were asked questions by questionnaire to collect data. Acquired data were charted by means of percentage and frequency values, open ended questions were commented by content analysis technique belonged to collected data. Recommends based to the obtained results for improving the “Intonation” are presented.
