Summary/Abstract: This study was aimed at comparative analysis of two artworks on the theme of ambassador acceptance made by different artists in different periods. The works one of them is miniature and the other one is a miniature effect oil painting are discussed in terms of technique and analysis. It was reviewed a miniature by Nakkaş Osman with a traditional understanding of art and an oil painting by Jean-Baptiste Vanmour. The works were analyzed by taking into consideration the time factor, the artist effect and the artistic tendencies considering the artistic characteristics of the period.
