Shooting efficiency was computed as a proportion of hit targets and number of fired cartridges during all races of World Cup. Values of shooting efficiency in each season were averaged and compared together. It was not able to characterize the shooting efficiency of men by any trend which can describe progress of shooting efficiency. In women category it was recorded progress of shooting efficiency apart from three last seasons. Most of medalists achieved the values of shooting efficiency about 84 – 85. Some biathletes can win with lower shooting efficiency cause of excellent cross country skiing performance.
