Summary/Abstract: Leisure time is an important sphere in human life. The lack of duty, and the awareness of the possibility to spend time on activities that are important from the point of view of the individual, has a significant impact on the development and health of people of all ages, especially including adolescents. The aim of this study has been to assess the quantity and the quality of leisure time available to adolescents at the threshold of adulthood, as well as to specify how people who have a hobby assess different areas of their health. The study has been conducted on 330 subjects aged 18–19 (160 boys and 170 girls). The survey method has been used, applying the CAWI technique, and anonymous self-filled questionnaires have been employed as a research tool. The results indicate that a significant number of adolescents have some leisure time during the school week. The most important thing for them is to be able to rest, have contact with others, and be able to pursue their hobby at that time. Most of the respondents have assessed that hobby has positive effect on their mental health.
