Summary/Abstract: In the following part of article the different aspects of the ethics of the French philosopher C. A. Helvetius are considered. The relations between his ethics and sensualist epistemology are analyzed. The conceptual meaning of interest and rational egotism, and their influence on utilitarianism, is discussed.
