Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the collision of reality and hyperreality. The author develops the concept of this collision by using categories of modality and time. Also, properties of artificiality, virtuality and closed reality are considered. The distinction between the viewpoints of determinism and free will (decision, responsibility) is analysed. A rational scientific-technical approach which pretends to provide a total explanation shows itself through technological forms. The approach creates the semblance that the whole of reality is created by human beings. The dictate of hyperreality questions not only the possibility of being in reality but also the being of reality. This article seeks to unmask this impression: to reveal the genesis of the implosion of reality in hyperreality, to grasp the beginnings of this phenomenon and to show the way back to reality.
