Summary/Abstract: Multiculturalism has raised a number of questions in the spheres of politics, ethics and art. The first part of the paper examines different theoretical attitudes towards the concept of multiculturalism and its related concepts such as identity politics and difference, tolerance and hybridity. The second part is a brief description of the papers that follow in the volume.
