Summary/Abstract: The main questions from which we started in this article were: To what extent are justified, today, concerns for developing certain skills of the teenagers for the family life? and Is the school responsible (and what can it actually do) to support the education of teenagers for family life? Thus, the content of this article – by which we tried to look for a possible answer to these questions - progressively advances from inventoring certain premises necessary to delimit the context and the current status of these new contents, to valuing the results of a qualitative exploration survey on this topic (achieved among the students of the Petroleum - Gas University of Ploiești, specialization Pedagogy of Primary and Pre-school Education), which are discussed in terms of recommendations/ suggestions for developing and conducting an optional curriculum / course aimed at developing the skills of teenagers for family life.
