Summary/Abstract: The article presents a brief overview of the musicological reflections of the composer Olivier Messiaen on the philosophical category of time as interpreted by the French writer and philosopher Henri Bergson. The conceptual relationship between the interpretations of the category of time by the philosopher and the composer is based on the translations of the relevant fragments from „Treatise on the Rhythm, Colour and Ornithology” of Olivier Messiaen.
