Summary/Abstract: Contemporary art has changed the concept of creativity. Artists explore, experiment and find new forms to send artistic messages. They gave up genres and directed towards finding a connection between all domains of human creativity. Laurie Anderson is one of the promoter of contemporary art and researcher of new artistic handwriting. Laurie Anderson is a versatile artist, whose domain of artistic activity aimed at the Performance Art. Performance Art is an open work in which artists from different fields of creativity experiment with their ideas and shape them into various forms of expression. Interactivity, multimedia and interdisciplinarity are the main characteristics of Performance Art. These characteristics allow it to expose itself as “an open field cultures” in which reveal cultural patterns of all mankind. Performance Art represents work that has no defined shape, whose borders are fluid and ready to open for cooperation with other forms of cultural creativity. The backbone of Laurie Anderson’s creativity presents music, which is an integral tissue of her performances. Her work is synthetic, analytical and introspective. Interactivity and multimedia are unavoidable determinants which make it possible to the universal language of art convey a universal message.
