Summary/Abstract: Although it appeared somewhere in the middle of last century, the idea of virtuality has gained power and has become an integral part of our contemporary society, at the same time with the ultra-fast development of the Internet (heart of the VR, virtual reality), of the technology and of the easier access to the Internet services of anyone who wants to. The biggest challenge for society, authorities, trainers and educators, is not the accelerated rhythm of the development. Beyond the bright side, there are some unpleasant aspects which, in one way or another, can throw the whole real society into a hardly controllable chaos. In this paper I will try to take a look at the phenomenon to reveal the role played by virtual reality (both online and offline) beyond the PC' s limits. The influence of the video games, of the almost unlimited Internet access for children, of the identity theft and of the online pornography are just a few issues that are addressed here.
