Summary/Abstract: Since its establishment (7 Ocak 1946) to its demolishment by the court order, Democratical Party had been one of the main actors of the local elections which can be classified into three epochs. These epochs are namely: 1946/1947 epoch, 1950 epoch and 1954/1955 epoch. During these times local elections were held in three different categories and on different dates. These categories are; Municipality board membership elections, City General Board Membership Elections and Mukhtarship Elections. Mukhtarship Elections were categorised in itself as Village Mukhtars with Elders Council Elections and District Mukhtars and Elders Council. Sometimes the elections for the mukhtarship would be held on the same dates and sometimes on different dates. On the epoch of 1946/1947 Democratical Party, participated the local elections as opposition party but twice boycotted and refused to join the local elections which were held on the epoch. On the epoch of 1950 local elections Democratical Party was the ruling party and got successful outcomes. Democratical Party participated the local elections of 1954/1955 epoch, with the advantage of being the ruling party and achieved successful results.
