Summary/Abstract: In the following research the author pays attention to the personal cor¬respondence of Stefan Verkovich which has been stored in the Bulgarian archives. He defends Verkovich’s thesis for the authenticity of Bulgarian language by commenting on a few letters and referring to the press. He also denies some of the hypotheses saying that Velkovich has been paid to work, that his work has not been accepted by P. R. Slaveykov etc.
