Summary/Abstract: The only way to become literate is not to read what is written in books or to write on white paper with a pen. Today, visually impaired individuals can be literate with the tools and equipment they use and find the opportunity to work in many different professions. In this study, tools such as Braille writing system, screen reading software, Braille screens, talking books and reading devices which are used by visually impaired individuals in reading and taking notes are introduced.
