Summary/Abstract: The first five months of 2011 I spent in the USA, participating in an expert exchange programe. During my stay I noticed number of processes, and I was directly influenced by them, which, in a brother sense can be interpreted as processes of acculturation. Since our anthropology has almost no research on these processes that every temporary migrant from Serbia to the USA must go through, I've decided to use self-reflection as a mean to try and describe this process, especially its economy aspect.
