Summary/Abstract: The article considers the distribution of an innovative product based on the Bass model. It is proposed to find the external action function using the Pontryagin maximum principle method. The function found makes it possible to obtain a refined Bass model for forecasting the distribution of an innovative product. It is suggested to approximate the function of external influence with the help of time and price parameters of sales. Based on the Bass models and the refined Bass model, the numerical results of forecasting global computer sales, smartphone shipments, Apple iPhone for the period 2017–2020 are given.
