Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the relationship between the results achieved by Hofstede four decades ago and the Standard Eurobarometer 90 of 2018 (EB.90). The case study of my study is Romania. For this purpose, I selected a series of questions from the EB.90, which I considered relevant to analyse each of the four Hofstede cultural dimensions. By relating the data collected by Hofstede and the results obtained to the contemporary reality, it can be observed that his study is still current even though the manifestations of the national culture have changed over time.
