Summary/Abstract: In the realization of this paper, I started from personal observationsaccording to which, in rural areas, people affected by alcohol consumption (alcoholics andtheirfamilies)are often stigmatized, discriminated, marginalized; these have formed the basisfor an effort to provide a scientific response to problems arising from poor reporting ofalcoholism in the context of the Fărău community.The issue addressed in the context of this paper is focused on the aspect of alcoholism, fromthe point of view of typical manifestations, its bio-psycho-social consequences, but also thevariety of possibilities of perceiving, conceptualizing and reporting on this phenomenon ingeneral, alcoholic, in particular
