Summary/Abstract: The author analyses the phenomenon of the spread and univerzalization of modem culture in conditions of an explosive development of the mass media of communication. In the first part of his work the author critically analyses the theories desling with phenomena of culture’s univerzalization and life in general. He mentions that these theories are of auite a long history, pointing out the works of Ortega y Gasset in the 1930 s, Me Luan’s overemphasising mass media as a factor of social transformation, Mol’s interpretation of the new civilization as a mosaic culture. Morin’s theory of massive culture and cultural industry as a form of an agressive colonization of human spirit, etc.
