Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of our research study on kindergarten children in Bucharest. Students from the “Psycho-diagnosis and Psychotherapy” master program used the Romanian Scales for Development on 90 preschoolers in order to select those with problems related to psychological development. Also, each teacher evaluated the children using a grade for general development and for cognitive, verbal, motor, and social-affective development as well. We aimed at discovering weather the teachers were aware of the children’s level of psychological development. In our opinion it is possible that some teachers evaluate preschoolers by taking into account only one sector of development and generalizing the results over to the other sectors.
