Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the business-society relationship, viewing it as a relationship of interdependence and mutual dependence, on as a »mixed-motive game«. Four sociological models of the relationship are identified. They are: classical functionalism, conflict of interests, legality, and public-private segregation.
