Summary/Abstract: Higher education today has a major problem with motivating and engaging students. Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in nongame contexts. It can provide an opportunity for finding solutions to the problems mentioned above. This study provides a theoretical overview of gamification, its process and its elements, as well as it present the potential uses of gamification in education.
