Summary/Abstract: The Iron Curtain exists not Only between East and West but also less visibly between each East-European country. These »unvisible« iron curtains were put up so as to impede any cooperation between the independant movements acting in each country. Regardless of such impediments contacts between these movements (especially between Charter ’77 in Czechoslovakia and KOR and Solidarity in Poland) began in the summer of 1978 in a systematic way.
