Summary/Abstract: Author is about briefly and clearly to elucidate tire various meanings of god: gnoseological, axiological, anthropological, sociological, psychological. Main thesis is that the i question: weather the god exist, schould be replaced with the question: what meaning bears the idea of god within our life? If the god as a symbol makes our life wider and deeper then it is necessary' and acceptable.
