Researches on multimedia expertise

Summary/Abstract: The article presents key aspects about probation in penal law, i.e. the expertise in the multimedia domain, in the process of recordings and interception of communications. We analyses in general the judicial expertise: classification, notion, objectives, actors (experts) involved in the field of expertise and also the institutions and the delimitations between the technical and scientific finding and the judicial expertise and forensic expertise of the audio-video recordings. There are also analyses the principal aspects of the realization of the multimedia expertise. A case study is presented in detail: the expertise of the audio recordings of the mayor of the town in Romania, and also the difficulties in the probation aspects. These could generate some suspicions about the authenticity of the audio and video recordings in general. The development of the news technologies in the area of communications could interfere with the confidentiality and the protection of the private data. From this point we can interfere further with the criminal field and many states in the world wants to know more about the iceberg of information promoted by the multimedia technologies, the social networks, computers, intelligent interconnected devices.The use of these special multimedia investigation methods is more and more actual, because the technological progress is very hard to stop and the secret in the communications and the protection of these information’s is indeed a very difficult task.
