AN APPLICATION OF SOME BIBLIOMETRICAL AND PROSOPOGRAPHICAL PROCEDURES TO THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF SOCIOLOGY

Summary/Abstract: The objective was to ascertain the presence of a group of social thinkers and sociologists within the contemporary scientific life and culture. The paper was originally written as the appendix to a book which was planned as the collection of essays and articles about various topics of the theory and history of sociology, published by the author during several past decades. (See the introductory Note in the paper and the author’s Bio-bibliography, published in Sociološki pregled, v. XIX (1985), nc 3—4.) The composition of the group whose presence is analysed (See Tab. l — Tab. 3a) is determined by this original intention.
