Summary/Abstract: In my work, I tried to point out some special psychopathological factors of schizophrenia when it comes to the most serious blood offences, especially homicide. Bearing in mind numerous studies that, in relevant percentages, signify the presence of schizophrenics among the excipients of blood dysfunction, I limited my work to this psychosis alone. Many of the characteristics such as age, means of execution, type of relationship with the victim ... occur regularly. The criminal law significance lives in the fact that schizophrenic felons are most often declared unaccountable when it comes to their crimes. The rule is that accountability is assessed in relation to crime and at the time of the offence. Psychoses that occur during the course of the procedure are not relevant to the assessment of accountability, however, for further treatment of the person psychoses are relevant. Two measures of psychiatric safety are at disposal for a judge: mandatory psychiatric treatment and care at a health institution (Article 81 of the PCRS) and mandatory psychiatric treatment at liberty (Article 82 of the PCRS). It is necessary for lawyers to acquire elementary knowledge of the psychiatric profession when it comes to significant pathological processes in order to better and more precisely prosecute and pronounce an adequate criminal sanction.
