Summary/Abstract: At the root of Fromm’s „Weltanschauung“ are elitism and messianism. That is the consequence of his metaphysical anthropology, according to which the man is a being predetermined by potentialities, so that the possibility of going out of this scheme is reserved to only a few „clairvoyant“ „clearsighting“ people. Those have the capacity of understanding a given pathology and its causes and to inform others through education and to show them the right path.
