Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to cognitive values of questions of early school children. The author presents not only results of own research but also delineates conception of problem finding and character of children’s questions in the context of cognitive development of students in late childhood. As the literature indicates, questions — often treated rather negligibly — can pose a sign of interest, open searching attitude and creativity of individual. The aim of conducted research was an analysis of questions of early school children in terms of cognitive values. The methods of research were following: observation and analysis of documents prepared by children during the research. The results show that the structure and topics of questions are varied, especially including sex of children. Collected data allowed drawing conclusions about level of reasoning, question making skills, cognitive curiosity and creativity of early school students.
