Summary/Abstract: Starting from the theoretical ideas about the role of the mass media in interceding of the political sphere, the primary of the media conditional quality is disputed regarding the orientation of the citizens of Serbia during the elections in 1990, 1992 and 1993. The elective advantages of the Socialist party of Serbia in relation to the oppositional parties do not rest primerily on the control over the media, but on the control over the state and economy and on the structural and socio-psychological characteristics of the population.
