Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with juvenile delinquency and behavioral disorders of children and the young, with a special accent being put on social environment of offenders, as one of the main sources of juvenile delinquency, according to the author. The paper contains also a brief review of solutions and sanctions provided within the Yugoslav criminal law dealing with the matters of juvenile delinquency. The paper equally represents the modem solutions, developed in other countries, aiming at the prevention and repression of this harmful social phenomenon.
